Ashley is One!!

I swore I wouldn't subject my kids to second or third child syndrome, no matter how many kids I had or how busy I was.  Now, it's almost an entire month past her birthday, and I haven't posted about Ashley's birthday!  

Oh, how we love Ashley Morgan!  She is a light in our home.  She is such a fun, happy little spirit.  Below are some pictures and videos of her, trying to capture her wonderful little self on a computer screen.  She needs to be on your bucket list. 

Stats and things I want to remember:

-HIGH MAINTENANCE!  She has to be able to see me or touch me at all times

-Her sweet snuggles at night, she makes it hard to make the transition to her crib. (Yes, she is nearly 13 months old and never spent a night in her crib....)

-Belly squeals!  It's a shriek followed by a delicious belly laugh

-17lbs

-Still nursing and would do it all day if I let her, still prefers nursing to table food

-LOVES blueberries and avocados.  HATES anything that comes in a cup

-Loves her sisters

-Slept through her first two flights

Michaela: Mom!  That is rude - it's not America's Funniest Home Videos - you have to see if I am ok before you laugh!

I asked Michaela several times to put her doll down to eat. Finally I said,"put the doll down right now!" She gasped and said,"Mom, her name is Noell and she is nonfiction, just like you and me-real mom!"

Me: Heidi get out of the bathroom! Come here!!
(Heidi runs into the playroom)
Me: what are you doing in the bathroom? Why are you in there? (Worried she was clogging things up again...)
Heidi: mommy, I'm not in the bathroom, I'm right here in the toy room, use your eyes mom! I'm where to yelled me to go!

I just gave Ashley a bath in the sink.....at Kohls. It was that bad and we are that awesome!

Me: Michaela when you yell at me like that it makes me feel sad and disrespected. Can you show me you live me by listening?
Michaela: that is just balls out redicleous mom, I love you a gimormous level, even to 100. I just don't want to put my clothes away. Good grief your dramatic.
(Sp errors to sound like her)
Balls out??? Dramatic??? I'm done for the day!

I just saw Heidi use the bathroom towel as toilet paper like it was no big deal. I asked her what that was all about and she said, "because sometimes 4 sheets of toilet paper isn't enough so I use the towel mom, because I am a Genius!" Glad I have been putting the towels on the floor back on the rack.......

Me: why??
Michaela: because I simply must have a cool brother like Uncle Richie is to you! — with Rich Kresge.

Here's how I know my kids will be alright:
M:don't worry Heidi, you just fell splat on the ground, nothing a 30 second dance party won't fix!
H: Ok Roonie, wets shake our booty's until I feel better!
M: ok, just don't tell mom because she will want to dance too and she's Nutso!
H: gooood idea sister!

M:"Mom, I am glad we got to see daddy this morning, he is a nice daddy. I think if you were married to someone else and we had a different dad but we saw Jordan Fife at the store, I would want him as my dad instead of the other dad. The other dad probably wouldn't let me ride the tractor or listed to rock music anyway. UNLESS he would get me a horse. But I would want my dad as the real dad."
H:"Are we getting a HORSE?!!!! That is the best news ever!" — with Jordan Fife.

I decided to be a jogger!  I know, it's crazy because of my leg, but I am over having a broken leg!  It always hurts.  We all know that!  Now, it always hurts BUT I AM A JOGGER TOO!
