Bye Bye Blog!!!!

Well.............just for a few weeks anyway. My mom is coming on the 18th of April, and I want to provide a drought before I am able to provide a feast of Michaela! Sorry to those who live for pictures on here on a regular basis- email me and I will personally email you some!!! Until the feast - happy fasting!!!

Dear Grandpa: You are WELCOME

If this post doesn't make sense to you - BE GLAD! My dad does this "trick" where he puts the napkin over his face and sticks his tounge out and wiggles it back and forth - and then giggles like a four year old :) Seriously, it's his favorite trick - he does it at ALL family functions, reunions, get togethers, dinners...... ANYTIME there is an audience! Anyway, tonight Michaela did something to that effect so I thought I would make my dads LIFE and take some pictures.... Enjoy Dad!

To Grandma Marti!

Purple is Michaela's Grandma Marti's favorite color, so today she is dedicated to you! We went to the park and had a little picnic, so we thought she might enjoy some purple pictures. Here you go Marti :)

To start the day, we had a (small) attitude. Disclaimer: I KNOW she is too old for a pacifier, but she doesn't sleep well, and until those pesky tonsils come out, she can still have it...

Trip to the Children's Museum

Well, we had big plans to be in Chicago this weekend, but stayed home instead, so we had a whole Saturday to ourselves! It was kind of nice not to have anything planned, so we just hung out at home and then took the little miss to the Children's Museum. She had such a great time! We enjoyed watching her and chasing her around! Enjoy the pictures grandparents!

Vaseline Anyone???

Okay, let me preface this by saying - I WATCH MY KID!! I am NOT one of those moms who turns on the tv to babysit, or just let them play by themselves all day - I swear I WATCH HER!!! Okay, so if you read the previous post, you would know that Michaela has been sick. So I let her pick out her own tissue so she wouldn't mind wiping her nose all the time. Because of that, I have had a jar of vaseline out, she she has enjoyed wiping her nose and then putting the vaseline on her cheeks so they don't get chapped. ANWAY........ The other day my mom and I were talking on the webcam, and Michaela sneezed. I didn't think ANYTHING of it when she asked for the "sue" (tissue) and then the, "Yoshun" (lotion) My mom and I were just chatting away when Michaela says, "Oh nice mommy, see her!" And I look down and see......the whole jar of vaseline......on my child head........ yeah, the WHOLE THING! IT litterally took her three seconds to empty it out and get it all over her head! Not just one little section my friends, her whole head!!! Anyway, it was too late to stop anything, so I got out the camera! Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we did taking them!

Since my mom was on the webcam - she had to see what was going on too! So here is Michaela showing gramdna her pretty lotion!


Sadly, all fun things must end and we had to figure out how to get this silly stuff out of her hair! In case you are wondering, the ONLY thing that works, is Dawn dish soap, and YES IT STINGS so be careful! We are on wash 13 and she's starting to look like less of a T-Bird now! (grease lightning....did anyone get it?!)

What have we been up to???

Our house has been S-I-C-K!!! We are coming up on our second week of stuffed noses, coughies and ear infections. NO FUN :( BUT, on the upside, the weather got up in the 70's for two days last week, and Michaela and I HAD to get out. So, we took our sick selves to the park, hoping that a little sunshine would at least lift our spirits, if not cure our colds! I am happy to report that our spirits were sufficiently lifted, and our colds......well, they have to go away sometime right??? Here are a few pictures, with commentary from our two days of SUN!

Michaela is so much fun - sick or not! She loves to wear her sunglasses, so it's normal for her to wear them in the tub. BUT, the real treat this time is the cut up popsicle she is eating because she is sick! Now she CAN"T WAIT to take a bath!

She DOES sleep!

It's too bad it's because she is sick :( But I am posting this picture, so that if I ever call you and tell you I am tired, because my pretty baby isn't a sleeper - remind me of this very picture. She does sleep!

This photo was taken at 1 pm today, when Michaela went to bed for the night......LAST night that is. I am not exagerating even a tiny bit, the child NEVER WENT TO sleep last night. Which means neither did her mommy.

She just keeps Growing, and Growing and GROWING!!!

We just need shoes on now, so we can make it to Church on time!!!

Ah! Who needs hard to put on Church shoes anyway? Rain boots are where it's at! And luckily - they happen to match!!!
