There was a HUGE rainstorm last night at Michaela couldn't wait to play in the puddles. All night she kept saying -ouside? So after we took Daddy to school I let her do her thing..... For a long time!

Playgroup

I love the playgroup here! There are so many people who come, some babies even bring their mommies even if they are only a few months old! It's so nice to get to know all the ladies in our ward, I thought it was way cool that they came despite their babies ability to participate.

Yesterday was a tour of the fire department. The kids were a little young, but it worked out pretty well, especially when they got to sit in the truck and turn the lights on. They even got a fire call while we were there, so all 30 of us sat in their living room and ate their cookies while we waited for them to come back! It was great. Here are some pictures of that........

After the tour, Michaela was exhausted, and wanted to badly to fall asleep in the car. I had a pacifier, but no blankie, both of which are MANDATORY for her to sleep. I braced myself for a fit all the way home, but Michaela improvised, she pulled out her church storyboard which is felt and snuggled right up! She was out in a matter of seconds!

I laugh so hard when I see this picture! Michaela woke up in such a bad mood, she is talking to my mom, and just acting so angry! She didn't even look like herself!



This one.......Well, Michaela was having some alone time in her room. It was supposed to be nap time, but since she was being SO QUIET I let her just continue to play. I didn't really think anything of it until she excitedly yelled, "Mememe! SO PEEEY" Which means, Mommy, me, so pretty! Which also translates to come see what I did! It's so pretty! Well, she was right, and so proud! It was a beautiful drawing on a beautiful wall, what's not to be excited about right?! I had never told her not to draw on the wall, so I couldn't be mad at her, instead I had her pose oh so proudly by her peeey picture!




And then she fell asleep like this!

Happy Monday!

Happy Monday to you! We have had a busy weekend here! First, Michaela FINIALLY got to go to nursery for the first time - AND LOVED IT! Seriously, I had a much harder time than she did. There are a few pictures below of her on the first day. All morning she pranced around in her dress and said, Chuch? Chuch?, and during Sacrament meeting, she couldn't hardly wait! So we take her in, and because all the other kids her age we clinging to their mommies, I brace myself for an afternoon in Nursery. But no, Michaela no longer needs me, the mommy, she has her nursery! She ran right over to the table and started eating pretzles and doing puzzles. She even hugged the little girl that was crying to make her feel better! Well, I stood in the hallway for most of the hour - just in case- but still nothing. I had the hugest lump in my throat, she looked so grown up! One time when I peeked in they were saying a prayer and it melted my heart to see her kneeling on the floor with her arms folded. Each time the door opened in the third hour my heart leapt, but it wasn't my baby that needed mommy! With about 15 min to go the door swung open - and there she was, my little sweet baby finially needed her mommy.....to change her diaper! The whole time we were in the bathroom she cried, CHUCH, CHUCH, and couldn't wait to go back! Honestly, I am really proud of her, I just wasn't ready for her to be such a big girl already! Look how beautiful she looked!



The next pictures are of my Monday morning project. There just aren't any cute Hawkeye bows for little girls with little hair, so I made one this morning. What do you think?

New Post of Grandma

18 Months Old Today!

Can anyone believe that my tiny little baby is 18 months old today?! Time is going so fast! I rocked her to sleep last night, just for old time's sake. She is growing up so fast?! We have been talking about NUrsery a lot latley and this morning when I asked her what she wanted to ware, she grabbed her dress and said, CHUCH? (Church...) So cute! There are a ton of cute things that she is doing, too many to name, but I can't get them all on here. I am posting a catch up of all the last few weeks. Now they will be recent. I highlighted Shawnies hair while she was here. I went to grab a towel and when I came back, Michaela was on her way into the tub too! She actually made it all the way in eventually and LOVED it!

Plenty going on in Iowa!

Jordan and I are sharing a computer right now as mine is in pieces across the country. The PC got here yesterday, we have to pick up a new monitor today and the printer is in a box somewhere. Anyway, with homework and unpacking, toddlers and dinner to think of, I have been a slacker in my posts! Not for lack of things happening around here, I promise! Jordan's little sister Shawnie has been here with us for a month, so we have been doing as much with her as we could. She had to fly home to Seattle yesterday, (sad face) so now the real life in Iowa begins. We did a lot of church history in the last month, Carthage Jail, Winter Quarters, Nauvoo, Liberty Jail, Adam-Ondi-Ahman, I can't even name it all! There are tons of pictures, and I am trying to get them all up here, especially for the grandmas!

My favorite part of the trip though was yesterday, we got to see Michaela's birthmother for the first time since we took Michaela home from Missouri. We flew Shawnie out of Kansas City, Missouri and Davea (Michaela's birthmother) met up with us there for breakfast. How wonderful it was for us to see her! I can't even tell you how much I love and respect this woman. I was a little nervous to tell you the truth, like what if Michaela deserves a spanking? Should I? What if, what if, what if? But honestly, when I saw her, I forgot how nervous I felt and instantly fell in love with her all over again! She is such a neat person, I wish you could all know her. Michaela is so lucky to have her in her life. We had such a great time and if I had the right words, I could express how much I love Davea, the reason I am a mommy today! Anyway, here are some pictures of yesterday, more to come of the rest of the last month I promise! Have a good Monday!

Wyoming

Wyoming was awesome too. I grew up there, so did my mom, so there are still a bunch of relatives there. Every night we sat outside and chatted with whomever showed up and pretty much stayed there until midnight. The best part though, was that my cousin Katie and her husband were there visiting from New York, talk about perfect timing- I hadn't seen them in years!
