Michaela: Mommy, you sad?
Mommy: No honey, these are happy tears.....(some random commercial....)
Later that day
Mommy: Michaela go to time out!
Michaela: Okay! But mommy, these are not my happy tears!

Mommy: Michaela, you are such a good friend! I like you!
Michaela: Yeah! I like me too!
Mommy: Do you like me?
Michaela: No, but I like daddy
Mommy: Okay, can I at least have a kiss?
Michaela: No, I need to save them for my daddy and Savannah

Mommy:(while sitting at the bottom of the stairs, out of sight)Michaela how are you?
Michaela: I fine! Taking a bath! And don't help me!

Michaela: Mommy, I need change my own diaper cause these are my buns!

Line upon Line.

Michaela and I have been working really hard on our night time prayers. I try to have them with her each night, a custom I hope continues through out her life. Anyway, below is a conversation we had recently.

Mommy: Okay Michaela, you can ask Heavenly Father for anything you need.
Michaela: Dear Heaf Fader, I need go park, i need frite(sprite), I need stay up, I need ice cream, In name, Jesus Christ, Aaaaaaaaaamen!
Mommy: Goodnight!

The next day at dinner.....I dished Michaela some ice cream for dessert, and she stared up at me with her Huge Brown eyes with wonderment and exclaimed... "MOM! Heaf Fader dooded it!"





It's so amazing to me how Heavenly Father teaches us, truly line upon line. I guess sometimes it takes a two year old recieving ice cream after a prayer for us to stop and think about it. The Gospel is basic, but complete. Heavenly Father loves us, and he wants us to be happy.. I am so grateful that my two year old is gaining her own sweet testimony, but mostly, I am grateful that she is teaching me.

We're baaaaaaaaaaaaack!

So many pictures, so many descriptions....so little sleep! If we hang out, you will hear all about the month long trip across the country. If we don't, here are some pictures to enjoy anyway with a few details!
1. 5 weeks in the car with one toddler for at least 9 hours a day = NO TEARS!....NOT ONE! I am so spoiled by Michaelas wonderful behavior.
2. Have not seen Jordan for about 30 days. Can't wait for tomorrow ;)
3. We got to see everyone we were related to in one month! And I was lucky enough to be blessed with a new sister in law! Now, two new babies on the way, one nephew and one neice :)
4. We drove for about 19 hours yesterday and got home around 5 this morning...making this my last detail for now. NAP TIME!

Where have we been??

It's hard to blog on a road trip! We are all over the place! Our first stop was in Utah, where Jordan's brother, Austin married this beautiful girl!!!! Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you, Austin and Tikla Fife! The wedding was on the 30th of June, in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. The reception was wonderful, Michaela danced the ENTIRE TIME! I have video so lets hope I remember to put it on when I get home! By the way, this beautiful picture was taken by Jordan's other Brother Dustin. He and his wife Amber are the owners of Fife Photography. Have them take your pictures!!!!!


Now, we are in Seattle with My inlaws. Having a blast! For the fourth of July, my brother Richie took us out to breakfast, and then "the Aunts" picked us up to go take pictures! (The Aunts are actually my sister's sister in law's but we all decided to be inlaws.....and Michaela loves them and they her!) Anyway, we headed up to their house with them and had a wonderful Fourth of July party! It's always hard to leave family, but we are excited to fly to California tomorrow to see my mom, dad, and grandma! Until next time!.........

We're so glad when Daddy comes home!

We had such a BUSY Saturday! It was our first nice day in a while, so we took advantage! (plus Jordan was home....so we had to do as much fun stuff as we could cram in!)

We started at the Zoo.....but the park pictures are first for some reason, so we'll start there!
For Dinner we invited our friends the Richey's to have foil dinners with us at the park. The dad's cooked,(yay!), the mom's watched kiddo's....and Guy and Michaela had a BLAST! They ran around, climbed up the slide....made smores and banana boats, and played in the water! Here are some pictures of the park.......

We started the day at the Naibi Zoo, and had a great time~ Michaela loved feeding the animals! Her favorite part by far was the train.

Wonderful Friends!

Michaela Loves her Michelle! Last night we went out with our BESTEST friends John and Michelle. Another one of my wonderful friends watched Michaela for us, but Michaela never even knew she was there! (that was the plan - have Michaela in bed before the babysitter gets there and then Michaela won't freak out....) anyway, we got home at like 10ish and I went in to check on M. She was sitting up in her bed and she whispered, "Mom, a baby is down there and Shell is here to see me!" She was SO RIGHT! Courtney had her daughter with her and Michelle and John stayed for a movie! So we let her get up and join the fun! I am in the chair by myself taking the picture...and Michaela is on the couch with her Shell!

Regroup

We haven't been up to much lately, just Michaela and I hanging out while Jordan is working hard. I appreciate so much how hard he works, so that I can stay home and spend this invaluable time with our daughter. We have had a lot go on at our house in the past few weeks, and it's been disappointing, and I will openly admit that I have felt a little defeated when it comes to my own destiny. I am kind of a control freak, (okay..... a BIG control freak, I can admit it Savannah :).....) and I have felt very out of control recently, and I haven't handled it well. BUT, that being said, I have regrouped, refreshed, and remembered how blessed we truly are! We have first and most importantly, the Gospel which allows us to be together forever, we have each other which includes our biggest blessing of all, Michaela, and we have countless other blessings that are priceless and too many to name! Anyway, this might just be rambles to all of you blog checkers who don't know the innermost workings of my heart/mind/soul, but for those who do, thanks for loving me even though I have been somewhat of a basket case lately! I feel like I am back to being myself, and I am once again, here for YOU! And for the grandparents, here are some pictures of why you really check the blog...... Michaela the Ladybug!
