Yes, she DID that and Said that!

Here we are - less than nine weeks away from my due date!  Where has the time gone??  We are loving and living life these days, my pregnancy has been flawless, I seriously have enjoyed all of it!  My only complaint comes from my silly leg that swells and bruises if I do too much during the day.  I feel so great though and want to get so much "spring" stuff done, that that is often the case.  Oh well, if my kids are REALLY good during the day, they get to rub lotion on my legs and feet while I read goodnight stories......hehehehe :)

Here are a few Michaela/Heidi sayings, Heidi is quickly catching up to her sister on the wit/shock factor!

Michaela: looks at me with a  scowl and FLICKS water on my face.
Mommy:  MICHAELA, what are you doing?  What just happened?!
Michaela:  I just wanted you to know what it was like mom, how do you like it?
Mommy: LIKE WHAT?!?!
Michaela:  Getting food dumped on you (flicks me again, with vigor!)  What do you think?
Mommy:  WHAT????  STOP flicking me!!!
Michaela:  Well right now you are just dumping water and chewed brownies on my baby sister and she can't help it so I want you to know what its like so you stop doing that to her.  (flicks me AGAIN)
Mommy:  That is not how it works, the baby is in a special bubble, keeping her dry - now QUIT FLICKING ME!!!!!

Mommy:  Heidi, quit whining, just be happy and ask for what you want - no tears ok?
Heidi:  I can't mommy, I just a whiney Chicken baby, I need to cry!

Michaela:  Heidi, lets race - I WIN!
Heidi:  Ok, I LOSE!
Mommy:  Heidi, its ok if you win, Michaela doesn't always get to win
Heidi:  No mommy, I get to LOSE all the time - Hooray!!!

Heidi:  What's that mommy?
Mommy: It's make-up to make me look pretty
Heidi: Did it work?
Mommy:  Yep- see?
Heidi: No - it must be broken make-up, try new batteries!

30 weeks :)

Too tiny to hold up her bloomers

Soooo...she wears them on her head

She prefers to sit in a bucket rather than the pool

Spring Break Trip!

I have to start off by showing you how delicious my girls are - to DIE FOR right??! I could just kiss them and squeeze them all day long - but they like to eat and play and other non kissing things... Anyway, here are two recent pictures of Heidi and Michaela.

And now for the spring break recap. First stop, Boise with the Winns! We were too busy with our one and only day to take many pictures, but I did get this gem of all the Kresge grandkids. What beauties!

And this is out of order, but oh well, we stopped in WY to see my grandma, Michaela taught her how to use her Kindle Fire :)
The main stop was in Utah, for Fife reunion, all the brother's and their families, along with Shawnie and grandma and grandpa - fun crowd!
Fife Grandkids - they were on a deer hunt with Grandpa, Michaela was carrying some map of the local area and kept saying,"According to our map, we are at 7 degrees norther than last time." I told you - she is delicious!
We did a little fishing
A little James Bond shoot the other guy game on the Sega game thing.
A little more fishing...

All the Fife kids - Jon and Marti should be so proud!!
Arm wrestling over the one can of spaghettios......
Michaela got pretty into this!

Daddy taking his girls.... Fishing....
The one picture I have of me on this entire trip!
Yes, I let them jump off the couch onto the lovesack - they had a great time and by the time it was over I wasn't cringing at every jump - just most of them!
Corban pretty much beat all the uncles at James Bond shoot the other guy! (Clearly I have no idea what it was called....)
Aunt Tikla and Michaela took our dessert orders on our last night there
And because of the deliciousness - and my lack of posts - here are my girls on Halloween, of LAST year. A Mermaid and a Princess. Self dressed, obviously.

Now it's both of them!!!

Heidi: Can I have some goldfish?

Mommy: No honey, we are just going straight to nursery, no snacks for Sacrament
Heidi: Mommy, that was not good planning for Heidi!!

Mommy: Heidi, you have to start going potty in the big girl potty, no more diapers
Heidi: No Mommy, that is gross, I go in my diaper
Mommy: Heidi, pooping in the diaper is gross
Heidi: Gross for mommy, not for Heidi!

Michaela: Mommy, your tummy looks gross- why is it fat?
Mommy: Because there is a baby growing in there, when you have a baby in your tummy, it will look just like this
Michaela: (wearing a disgusted face) I SINCEREOUSLY hope you are joking me right now!

Mommy: Michaela - brush your teeth and GO TO BED!!! (the millionth request that evening)
Michaela sobbing: I don't want to sleep with Heidi, she talks to me
Mommy: You guys need to learn, just don't talk to her and she will sleep
Michaela: Mommy, my sister is wonderful but I don't like sleeping with her at all - it's not wonderful at all!!

Mommy: Heidi - GO TO SLEEP!!! (After walking her back to bed at least ten times)
Heidi: Scowling and crossing her arms: OK. But I am not your friend right now anymore! Maybe tomorrow when I can wake up!

Michaela: (Bursting through the front door) MOMMY! It's raining like HELL out there!!
Mommy: What?! (Looking out the window) OOOOH, It's HAILING outside!
Michaela: Yep, I just told you that silly!

Heidi: (At church during the lesson) Can I play now?
Teacher: After we learn about prayers, what is this Heidi (Shows a picture of a family praying)
Heidi: Dear Heavenly Father, thanks for lot of things, bless to be safe, In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. - Now can I play or do something fun??

Mommy: Michaela, you have been so good today!
Michaela: Of course I have mommy, that is what Roonie's do.

Look at these girls, aren't they neat?

Wouldn't you think my collection's complete? (Now repeat that title and first sentence to the tune of the little mermaid song) We are having ANOTHER GIRL!!!! Jordan and I were so sure that this baby would be a boy, we were literally shocked when the ultrasound tech couldn't find any boy parts in there! A GIRL?? If we are being honest, and I usually am pretty honest and blunt on here, we were a bit disappointed. People say that all they really want is a healthy baby. I want a healthy baby too, but I really wanted one with boy parts attached. And more honestly, I would have any baby, healthy or not so that is irrelevant. I am SO THANKFUL that SHE is healthy and growing and of course we love her, we just didn't expect HER. I also felt a sense of loss. We had two embryo's transferred, so one thought I had was maybe the embryo that didn't make it was my baby boy. Would he have been my football star? My sweet momma's boy who I would smother with so much love on his mission that his companions would wait for his mail rather than their own? What will I do with another girl? I already have a million tutu's and barbies and I don't think we own a blanket that isn't the same color as pepto bismo. So if we are being honest, even though we love this baby, we were underwhelmed at the thought of our girl.

That was two weeks ago. We started the momentous task of naming our third daughter. We have had THE PERFECT boy name since we got married. We agree on it and it's awesome. Girl names, however, take us forever to agree on. We fight, I pout, he veto's and its draining. But, I think we have one. And I love it. I also made a baby registry at target. I felt weird even agreeing to have a shower for this third daughter of mine, but my friend Stephanie said every baby should be celebrated and have a party. So I got online, and looked. And started to daydream a little. I saw this purple blanket, and thought, that one isn't too bad. I actually might love it. I do love it. I am going to buy it. It gave me a mom flub. ( Jordan and I have a made up word for extreme, verclempt-ish love: Flub) Now I had a baby with a name, and a blanket. She might have girl parts, but I was starting to get a glimmer of excitement for her. HER.

This week, I felt her move. No mistaking it. There SHE was. There SHE is. And it's weird. There is a human growing inside of me and all my premonitions of me thinking it's gross and creepy and surreal are true. However, I am addicted to it. I sit in anticipation of these little kicks all day and when she kicks me, I smile. That, in there, is my daughter. My THIRD baby with girl parts. I live in adoption land and I am about to have my third healthy baby girl. I need her. I suddenly can't wait to put bows in her hair and pain the toes of the feet that are kicking me. I bought a purple nursery set. Nothing gender neutral, I have become obsessed with this fancy, petite, wonderful girl. She was meant for our family. The way she got here and the tender mercies that brought her to me are all from Heavenly Father and he does not make mistakes. This baby, our baby girl was meant to be baby girl Fife number three. There is no more gender disappointment at our house. I don't feel guilty for my thought process or how I got to this point, because I think it's normal to hope for something, so please don't judge. I do feel grateful that I felt that way, because it makes me look at the two girls already here in my life and soak them in even more. The tea parties and dance classes and the "can't find anything to wear even though I am only five years old" moments.

They are precious daughter's of God and He trusted me to teach them something. Something that will get them, my three daughter's, back to Him. So here I go - about to have my third daughter. And I love it.

Michaelaroonie

My sweet Michaelaroonie! How are you Five years old already!? We love you so much, there are hardly words to describe how much you mean to us. You are so smart, and funny, and you are the smartest person I know. You have such a bright spirit and as most people who know you know, you keep us all on our toes! You got the nickname Roonie a long time ago, and it stuck. Mostly we call you Roonie, sometimes Roon, Rooney tunes, Roonalicious....etc. Sometimes after a long day the phrase around here is, "I've been Rooned"...and it's enough to describe a feeling! You are wise beyond your years, already sight reading many words, you can add and subtract and you are so logical it can be frustrating at times! Reading hundreds of stories is still a favorite way to pass your time. We have no idea where you learned to dance - but YOU CAN DANCE!!! You have such a sweet, honest testimony of the Gospel. You love President Monson and really want to give him a hug. There are a few "baby" things about you still, that I love:

-You are still desperate to win a "trumpy" after every game or contest
-Whenever you smell something stinky, you wonder if it was a "stunk," (The best word ever for an actual "skunk"
-You hate the sun in your eyes, you prefer to be in the "shood"

Other Things to remember:
-You bless that we can be safe at least 100 times each night
-You have daddy sing you the spanish version of "oh how lovely was the morning" and you are my sunshine at night.
-You love to go on dates with us individually
-You argue EVERYTHING!!!! You are going to be a lawyer!
-You are a wonderful big sister and Heidi just loves you!

We love you, you are beautiful and a ray of Sunshine in in our lives. Happy Birthday sweet Michaela Raylene!

Here are a few fun pictures of you "Fancy Nancy" birthday party. We had a bunch of little girls over and we painted fancy t-shirts, gave them some fancy tutu's and makeup and crowns and learned how to be fancy!! You had so much fun :)

Heidi, Lucy, Reagan and Michaela in their Fancy Hello Kitty dresses
Always the poser!
Right before your party, you got a black eye goofing around with Reagan!
Fancy Girls!!! (Heidi had fallen asleep already)
Make a wish on your Fancy Nancy Cake!
Daddy getting Fancy :)
Heidi LOVED getting fancy!!!!
Grandpa Sam reading a story at your party
Your Fancy Nancy Cake! Fancy Lessons!
A very fancy Reagan!
Heidi and Lucy painting the fancy shirts
Winn and Fife girls being princesses

Roonie, if I had to describe you in pictures, I would pick a sweet posing one above and the two below. You are my TORNADO!!!

And If I had to dedicate ONE SONG to dedicate to you, it would be this. I love you!!

Adoption

Just like each person and family is unique, adoption can look different in each family. For example.....

Even harder to understand, some adoptions can look nearly unrecognizable to the untrained eye....need an example of that too? -Don't worry, I've got one :)

Curious what this means? It means our family is expecting a baby on July 28th! This time though, we have adopted embryos, rather than an already born baby, so its me that is pregnant. Crazy right?! There are so many reasons we chose to do it this way this time, experiencing pregnancy is simply just one of them. Other reasons are not going through failed adoption after failed adoption, controlling the prenatal environment (however, we were thrilled with our other two kids' prenatal environments..) and the main one is that once you have one healthy child in adoption land - its really hard to add more for some reason.

I have struggled a little bit in deciding to do this. There are a few things that I really didn't/don't want to happen in this situation.

-I don't want people to be happy for me that I "Finally," get to experience pregnancy. I haven't been pining for that - I was pining to be a mom, and I have been one for about five years now. I am grateful to be pregnant, but mostly to be adding another person to our family. I have had a great pregnancy and it's been fun to be able to experience it, but it's not a bucket list item by itself. The new member of our family is the bucket list item :)
-I really don't want people to say, "I knew once you adopted you would have kids of your own!" Hello? Michaela and Heidi ARE mine. And this child is as genetically linked to me as my first two are - THEY AREN'T. Because of the power of the Temple though, they are mine, here on earth and forEVER.
-I really don't want my girls to think that I really wanted to be pregnant and I feel like I missed something with them. Truthfully? I can't imagine my life without my two little princess...AND their birthmom's/families/stories. They are such good girls and I love how they came into my life. This third child will be able to be breastfed and that is exciting to me, but not something I wished I could have done with my other two. I could have taken hormones and attempted to breastfeed them, but I didn't want to pretend they were biological, I wanted the world to know I am so proud of where they came from. Anyway, not to rant, I really just want people (you) to understand that a pregnancy is as much for me as it is for my current kids :)

SO. Be happy for us - WE ARE SO EXCITED! But don't be relieved for us, because we are so happy with how all our kids came here - all three of them! (Yikes...THREE KIDS!!)

This adoption is also open, we know the genetic family and love them very much. We are SO BLESSED in adoption to be able to have two healthy children with wonderful birth families, and another baby on the way with an equally wonderful genetic family. We are so happy to share our news with you and hope you share our joy with us! We truly feel blessed.

We're Here!!

Sorry for the lack of posts, it's not for a lack of events the last few weeks, just the opposite! We've been to pumpkin patches, Halloween parties, the Winn's came for Thanksgiving (pictures still on camera), and now we have an entire month of December to catch up on as well! At the very least, I will post these for Davea, who has asked me twice to update - SORRY!!!! We are grateful for such wonderful, healthy, full of life little girls and could not be happier with life right now. I really can't wait to post again - we have news we hope to share with you all!!!!
