My Little Friend

Today my little friend woke me up at 5 in the morning because I wasn't "snoogling" (Snuggling) her. Then we ate "macans" (Muffins) and "chokit mik" for breakfast while we watched "the tartoons." We read the "Books of Ronnies" (Book of Mormon) and learned about "Fosef Fish" (Joseph Smith) and "those Looneynites" (Lamenites) and made "Fantatik Cookies" (Fantastic Cookies) to take to our "Frens we love" Soon we will be "playing in the outside" for a while. We WON"T be singing - because I "sing too ugly" and we don't have a "tar" (guirar) anway. For lunch I think I will make my friend a "samich" or some "ronies" Macaronies. Then we get to go see "Jordan" (Daddy)

No matter what we do, I think it's going to be a great day!

A few More

Just posting to answer a few questions!
A) Michaela was SO GOOD for the entire trip! She is a perfect traveler. We had her in the car for 12 days for at least 5 hours a day and there was not one tantrum!!! She read books, sang veggie tales and asked each and every passing semi to HONK HONK!!!
B) I take my own pictures, with a Sony Alpha camera, and of course, I would be happy to take some for you. BUT- I am a complete beginner photographer. If you want some seriously amazing pictures done by a Fife, go here. It's very flattering to get an inbox filled with requests to take pictures for you, but it's just luck!
C) Since most of you come here simply for the eye candy....(not that I blame you, my husband IS hot and my daughter is B.E.A.utiful!) here are some more pictures :)

Jordan and Michaela on the swing at the park. She kept saying, "Do it like me daddy!"

Motivation

This morning I was getting ready for the day, standing at the sink brushing my teeth. Michaela came up to me and patted me on the bum and said, "Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy - like Tigger!"

I will be on the treadmill if you need me.

Ladybug Ladybug, fly away home!

As most of you know....(and if you don't...where have you been??) Michaela is our ladybug girl! So I started making her a quilt a few months ago, and this is what I came up with. What do you think? Critics - don't judge too harshly, I have never made a quilt this size before, and I didn't use a pattern, so keep a VERY open mind!

Of course when we were taking the pictures, she wanted to wear her ladybug shirt we made and jump on the bed. So, what do you think? Should I add a bedskirt? Pillowcases in ladybug material or plain black? OR? Should I stick with something much simpler next time???

It's you and me Kid!

Dear Michaela:
Today means a lot of things to a lot of people. Some people are feeling sad because they are missing their mothers, some feel anxious because their mothers are oversees fighting for what we believe in. Some people are feeling loved, and happy because they get to be with their mothers today. Today, what I feel is grateful. I am so happy and so excited to be your mommy! I have waited my whole life for a best friend like you. I love my sister, my mom and my husband, but there is no one on the Earth that fills the spot of Best Friend quite like you can! There are so many things about you that I love! I love how you say, "strawbabies," instead of strawberries. I love that you are unafraid of most things in this world, but when a tiny FLY lands anywhere near you - you flip out!! I love how feminine and dramatic you are, while you play trains and hot wheels and superheros. As stressful as it is, I love how clingy and whiny you are when I leave because it means you still need me to protect you. I love that you are always the most beautiful girl in the room. I love that you call daddy, "Jordan," or "babe," because that is what I call him. I adore it when you tell me you love me before I tell you. I love that you let me do your hair each morning. I love that you are going to be tall, and down the road I can sympathize when you are taller than all the boys! I love that I will get to fluff your wedding dress one day. I am excited to talk daddy into letting you stay out later on prom night and then waiting up all night to hear all about it. I can't wait to teach you how to drive. I love that you like country music instead of "that other stuff," that daddy listens too. You are the best dancer that I have ever seen. I just want you to know that I am so grateful that you have stormed into my life! You have turned my world upside down, and the view is wonderful from here my little Ladybug!!! I love you!
Love, Mommy

PS: Thanks for believing in me Davea!

And since we have moms too..... here is a special picture shout out to our Mothers!

Samantha and Raylene.... PS: I feel like I should tell you that my parents were already married when I was born - this is just dress up day or something!!!(and technically Savannah....but she was in the belly!)
