I am an Aunt! My sister Savannah had her baby yesterday morning. SO CUTE! After 19 min of labor, she was born, 6 lbs, 13 oz 18 in long. So much hair! I don't understand why some babies are born bald...(Michaela...) and some are born with so much beautiful brown hair! Anyway, her name is Reagan Eleanor Winn and I love her! I love being an Aunt. Here are some pictures of the little gal.......

7 Months and counting!

Wow, the time goes so fast doesn't it? I can't believe our sleepy newborn is now an active 7 month old little girl! Michaela is so busy, always scooting or talking. She says a few words, of COURSE Dada was first, followed by hi dad and what I think is Mama finially. She crawls but only backwards, hey at least she gets somewhere right? I did catch her standing up in the crib yesterday jumping like a mad woman. She is so full of attitude and such a joy to have around. Anyway here are some of the pictures I wanted to share.

Romantic Getaway....

So my boss thought things were going pretty well around here so she offered to pay for a weekend away! We finially decided on this tourist town in Washington called Leavenworth. It's this tiny little town in Eastern WA that has been converted into a mini Germany. All the buildings and shops look like you are in down-town Germany. It's pretty cool. Anyway, my mom took Michaela so we really could enjoy our.."alone time" We picked this really nice, no kids allowed mountain lodge way up in the mountains. I had these super romantic evenings planned, complete with me doing my hair like Jordan likes it, (down of course) and my make-up being perfect. Not because he needs this, but because I wanted it to be a special occasion. Anyway, because I am Samantha and I do these things, I left the bag that had my make-up and shampoo at home! Of course I did! So I had to use the little hotel shampoo they provided because OF COURSE Jordan didn't pack any, and I had no makeup all weekend. Not the end of the world, but it would have been fun to dress up, you know!?
Despite that minor fiasco, we had a blast, during the day we went down to the town to check out some of the shops and the FOOD, (so yummy...) and the sights. Most of the food was great, except for one place we ate on the first night that had some pretty severe consequences though. It was a Mexican place, (I know, Mexican in a German town...?) and we got to sit outside on the patio and overlook the street. Well, something didn't sit too well and I barely made it to the car and had to make a mad dash into safeway to grab some pepto... Great way to kick off my romantic evening huh?
Anyway, it was a great trip but about 3 hours into it, we missed our baby and wanted to come home to see her. I survived by talking to her on the phone at least once a day though! Well, thats the update. I included some pictures and just in case you have plenty of time a video.. Until next time...........

Grandpa Jon and Grandma Marti bought this jumparoo for Michaela and she loves it! The only problem is that whenever he comes over, she REFUSES to play in it :( So I got it on video and its up so he can witness that she actually does love it!

Baby Einstein Fanatic!

So in the mornings, I usually let Michaela watch a baby Einstein video while I open the "office". She loves them! This morning, I couldn't get her attention no matter what I did or said so I decided it was time to bribe her with breakfast..... Didn't work. She was so into the movie she wouldn't give me the time of day! Anyway I thought it was classic enough to share.

Mall Adventure

So I was bored today and Michaela was GRUMPY, so I decided it was time to go shopping. I loaded her up and went to the mall. While we were there I noticed a bunch of people outside this picture place so we headed that way to see what the fuss was about. (I was hoping for something spectuacular like soemone passed out or something) Anyway, it was this picture contest where if your baby wins, they win a bunch of scholarship money and lifetime portraits. Hmmm.... we weren't doing anyhting so I entered her in it and made a mad dash to baby gap. Anyway, that was our day, we don't find out for like a month if she wins, but it took up a lot of time at anyrate. Below is our FREE 8X10, just for entering!

Baby's First Camping Trip

This weekend was Michaela's first camping trip! Jordan finially got a day off, so we went on Friday morning to Zions Camp in Washington. It's a really cool little place that the church owns, so it was very family friendly, no loud music or swearing, it was very clean, a really great family place. Anyway, my parents came, along with my Grandma, and Devin and Savannah were there. It was so much fun to hang out with no schedule and no computer or telephones ringing! While we were there we went hiking and out on the lake with some paddle boats. Anyway, it was a great time. Below are some pictures:

Yes, I went to the Hilary Duff Concert!

That's right, Shawnie and I went to the Hilary Duff concert ~ and it was awesome! We love her! It was a great night, just the two of us (Shawnie and I) got to spend the day together and drive up to the show, we had dinner first then stood in line forever. The best part was that there was a guy from the raido station there who saw our "We love Hilary Duff" poster and upgraded our seats to floor seats! That beats nosebleeds anyday! Well, I won't go on and on in case you all aren't as big of fans as I openly admit to being.......
